Freshman Player of the Week
Taylor Grace
Taylor Grace went 4-for-6 in the two games against Etiwanda with four RBI, four runs scored, two doubles and a home run.
Freshman Pitchers of the Week
Kenny Chapman and Scotty Young
Kenny Chapman struck out 10 while allowing only two hits in five strong innings, while Scotty Young threw 6 scoreless innings and allowed just four hits

Freshman Player of the Week
Jeremiah Davis
In limited action, Jeremiah Davis had four hits, scored three runs and had five RBI's in the Wolfpack's two victories over Upland.
Freshman Pitcher of the Week
Thomas Galuchie
Thomas Galuchie earned a save and a hold in games against Upland this week. In both cases, he came in late in the game with runners on base and shut down the Highlanders to help CHS sweep the Highlanders.

Varsity Players of the Week
Matt Anderson
Matt Anderson went five-for-seven and scored two runs, drove in a run and had two stolen bases and a .635 on-base percentage in a doubleheader against Charter Oak. He also had a stellar defensive performance while playing catcher, center field and shortstop.
David Kessler
David Kessler went four-for-six with a three-run home run and a double in the two games against Charter Oak. He had seven total bases and a .625 on-base percentage. His three-run homer broke a 3-3 tie against the Chargers, leading the Wolfpack to victory with his first home run of the season.
Michael Brooks
Michael went three-for-three with three sharp singles and scored a run in the second game of the doubleheader against Charter Oak.
Varsity Pitcher of the Week
Phil Gonzalez
Phil Gonzalez got the win over Charter Oak, pitching 5 1/3 innings and striking our three while allowing eight hits and not giving up an earned run.
Junior Varsity Players of the Week
Kyle Jackson
Kyle Jackson had four hits in the two games against Charter Oak, including the game-winning hit in the first game and a two-run triple in the second game. He went four-for-nine with three RBI, scored a run and stole a base.
Patrick Stott
Coming off the bench, Patrick Stott went three-for-three with three RBI in Claremont's first game of the doubleheader against Charter Oak. He had a clutch two-out single to drive in a pair of runs in the third inning, and delivered a single in the seventh that knocked in a run to tie the score.
Junior Varsity Pitchers of the Week
Jake Teagle
Jake Teagle turned in another solid performance on the mound against Charter Oak, pitching four innings and allowing just one run on three hits while striking out a pair. He did not figure in the decision.
Ben Perry
Ben Perry came out of the CHS bullpen to toss two solid innings without giving up a run.

Varsity Players of the Week
David Kessler
David Kessler went 4-for-8 against Los Osos and Upland with two triples, a double, four RBI, scored three runs and had an on-base percentage of .666. David had the clutch bases-clearing double that put Claremont ahead for good against Los Osos in the seventh inning helping the team to its first league victory.
Matt Anderson
Matt Anderson continued his hot hitting with five more hits this week in seven at-bats. He added three RBI, scored a run and stole a base. Matt had a .750 on-base percentage. Against Los Osos, he had four hits and three RBI. He also has been solid defensively behind the plate.
Jordan Moore
Jordan Moore went 5-for-8 in the two games this week, with four RBI, a pair of doubles, a triple and two runs scored. Jordan had a .625 on-base percentage and came through in the clutch against Los Osos with eight total bases. He also put in a solid defensive performance at second base.
Varsity Pitcher of the Week
Taylor Meyer
Taylor Meyer came in to relieve starter Phillip Gonzalez against Los Osos, with the Wolfpack down 8-4. Taylor pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up two runs with no walks and two strikeouts to get the win over the Grizzlies.
Freshman Players of the Week
Jeremiah Davis
Jeremiah Davis had an inside-the-park home run and scored three runs in Claremont's 9-3 victory over Los Osos.
Dillon Tate
In the game against Los Osos, Dillon Tate went two-for-three and drove in three runs.

Scotty Young
Scotty Young pitched four innings without giving up an earned run against Los Osos
Kenny Chapman
Against Upland, Kenny Chapman surrendered just one earned run in four innings of work on the mound.
Week of March 6-14, 2009
Varsity Players of the Week
Matt Anderson
Matt hit .643 with five runs, nine hits, nine RBI and two home runs, earning all-tournament honors in the Glendora Tournament. He had a huge game against highly ranked Northview, going 3-for-3 at the plate with two home runs and four RBI. Anderson also opened the tournament with Cresenta Valley going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and he finished the tournament with another 3-for-3 effort with three runs batted in against Dysart High of Arizona.
Jack Heidelman
Jack Heidelman hit a respectable .555 in the Glendora Tournament with an astounding five home runs and seven RBI. He scored seven runs in the tournament and reached base nine times for a .692 on-base average over a four-game span. Jack hit two HR's opening the tournament against Crescenta Valley and two more with four RBI to help Claremont beat powerhouse Northview.
Varsity Pitcher of the Week
Dylan Betancourt
In two starts, Dylan Betancourt went 1-0 in eight innings, giving up just two earned runs to finish the week with a 1.75 earned run average. He had 10 strikeouts and walked just two in the two games. Betancourt went five innings in the season's first game against Crescenta Valley and struck out six. He gave up four runs (two earned), scattered seven hits and did not figure in the decision. He returned Friday against Dysart (Ariz.) and gave up one hit in three innings of a mercy-shortened contest in which he was credited with the victory.
Junior Varsity Players of the Week
Kyle Jackson
Kyle Jackson closed out the season's first week by hitting .600 over the four games, with nine hits in 15 at-bats. Highlighting his week was a 4-for-4 performance against Rancho Cucamonga in the championship game of the Claremont Tournament. He also scored nine runs and had five RBI.
Victor Munoz
Victor Munoz had seven hits in his first 13 at-bats and led the team with eight RBI and nine runs scored. Along with his hits, he walked two times and twice reached base after being hit by pitches. His power display included a pair of doubles and a three-run home run, which he hit in the championship game of the Claremont Tournament.
Junior Varsity Pitchers of the Week
Jake Teagle
Drawing the opening day nod, Jake Teagle won both of his starts this week, defeating West Covina and Rancho Cucamonga. After throwing four innings without giving up a hit or a run in the first game, he came back to toss six innings against Rancho Cucamonga in the Claremont Tournament championship. In a total of 10 innings, he gave up four hits and registered six strikeouts, posting an earned run average of 2.10.
Sam Robinson
Sam Robinson pitched five scoreless innings over two games to begin the season. He started and pitched four shutout innings against Damien to pick up the victory. He surrendered four hits and struck out three, following an inning of relief work against West Covina in which he did not yield a hit or a run.

Auston Ingram hammered two home runs and had four RBI against Damien in the Claremont Tournament,
Trevor Hollinger
Hollinger delivered the big hits for the Pack, including a crucial triple in the seventh inning of Claremont's come-from-behind victory against Charter Oak.
Freshman Pitchers of the Week
Scotty Young
Scotty Young tossed a
seven-inning complete game in a win over Damien to register his second victory of the
season. The lefty struck out eight and gave up just two earned runs,
holding the Spartans to just two hits and no runs over the final five
innings.
Thomas Galuchie
Thomas Galuchie pitched five innings of relief against Charter Oak, holding the Chargers to one run over five innings and picking up the victory in extra innings.
